August is one of my favorite months of the year. It’s typically hot, which means lots of fun in the sun, days at the pool, tan lines, bonfires with friends, Chatfield’s Western Days, my BIRTHDAY and the time of year where I know I’ll get a visit from The J Family for their yearly family session! This family has been one of my most loyal families, to date. I love them for it but I also love their company!
This time around, Miss Amelia was not entertaining the thought of photos. I don’t hold it against her. I mean what two year really wants to go have fun frolicking around with a crazy lady who has a big black box in front of her face for an hour? Right!?!?
When you turn four, however, this seems like the best idea in the entire world! While Amelia worked out her emotions, Anna and I spent some quality fun time together.
Since the last time we were together, Anna got her hair cut and I must admit I’m jealous of a four year old’s haircut! Isn’t it the most adorable cut ever!?!? If only I could pull off the short hair look.
After a little while, Amelia decided maybe it would be okay to sit for one or two pictures. Mother Nature, well, she had a different plan and before we knew it, the flood gates opened and we were racing to the cars as fast as we could. The rain was clearly not going to let up for us to continue on with our session so a few weeks later, I met up with Anna, Amelia and their mom to finish up their session.
This time around, Amelia was a busy little bee. It’s a good thing I had my running shoes on!
If you’re looking to schedule your own family session this fall, I have a few spots left in my calendar to fill. Contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
